WeLight works to deploy accessible and sustainable solutions to accelerate energy inclusion in rural areas across Africa. WeLight wishes to significantly impact socio-economic growth in villages and isolated communities by investing in infrastructure that produces and distributes electricity, all while also offering a global energy-services solution.

CGHV is currently building one of Madagascar´s largest hydroelectric dams. At full capacity, it will give over 2 million people access to cheaper and more reliable electricity. From 2025, this dam in Volobe will produce clean energy while meeting the energy needs of communities living between Toamasina and the Antananarivo Interconnected Power Grid.

GreenYellow Madagascar is an expert in energy solutions, particularly photovoltaic power production. Having proposed the Ambatolampy power plant—the largest solar power plant in the Indian Ocean—GreenYellow Madagascar gives people access to clean, renewable and affordable energy in line with SDG 7 of the UN Global Compact. Its 73,000 solar panels have sequestered over 17,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year for an installed capacity of 20 MW. The expansion of the plan, which will take place in 2021, will double the plant´s capacity to 40 MW.

GES supports Madagascar in its energy transition by constructing and operating (in partnership with JIRAMA) hybrid power plants in the regions of Sava and Menabe. The company also provides viable energy solutions to businesses operates in the commercial and industrial markets, including mining operations and isolated industrial facilities. GES has thus eliminated over 200 tons of CO2 in GHG emissions to date. In 2020, GES also supported EDM, and installed equipment allowing the American School of Antananarivo to become 42% solar-powered.

EDM is a well-known operator in Madgascar's power-production market, specialising primarily in isolated sites, industrial and tertiary industries. By way of proposing adaptive energy solutions, EDM participates in the electrification of isolated rural areas across Madagascar and allows businesses and traders to engage in long-term economic activity. EDM´s technical knowhow is broad and its staff has effective coverage over most of the country, and its expertise allows for energy systems to be studied, implemented and maintained effectively.

MBalik was launched in 2020 by Telma, Madagascar´s leading mobile-money operator. MBalik kits allow for the installation of solar energy on a prepaid basis to make solar-produced electricity available, at minimum cost, to 80% of all Malagasy who are covered by Telma´s network. Through MBalik, Malagasy communities now have access to a cleaner, more affordable energy alternative.
