AXIAN, A COMMITTED, RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

We believe that Madagascar’s development and wider influence hinges on a new approach focused on performance, quality and responsibility for the directions and actions taken. So, when it comes to business processes in line with the highest international standards, talent management and corporate social responsibility, Axian takes a resolutely pragmatic approach and sets the bar very high.

EXEMPLARY PRACTICES

EXEMPLARY PRACTICES

While Madagascar and the surrounding region are known worldwide for the skills and know-how of the workforce, its social, management and environmental practices still have some way to go. To meet this challenge and help raise the country’s profile, Axian strives for continuous improvement and exemplary business practices in each of its sectors of activity. These exemplary practices apply first and foremost to our environmental performance, with site compliance, increased use of renewable energies and a reduced carbon footprint. They apply to quality and safety, with a systematic commitment to ISO certification for all our companies and the development of turnkey services. We also take the same exemplary approach to business management and human resources, with a strong emphasis on the principle of local management, fair and attractive salary policy, gender equality, health and welfare plans for employees and their families, training and support programs and assistance for young graduates.

INVESTING IN TALENT

The growing success of Axian companies also stems from the talented people that have been hired and trained in recent years. Our proactive employment policy has made us one of the country’s largest recruiters.

More than 2,000 people have been hired since 2005, taking the total workforce to over 4,000. And more than 1,500 Axian people benefited from training programs in 2015, totaling almost 50,000 hours.
